First Race — Washington DC International

The Charles E. Payne Perpetual Trophy Presented by Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (T.A.P.S.)

Open Flat for three year olds and up. Weights: three year olds, 150 lbs; older, 155 lbs. Trophy to owner of the winning horse. Entry fee: $100. About one mile and six furlongs on the Turf.

Second Race — Preakness Amateur Rider Open Flat

The Peter Hitchen Memorial

Amateur Open Flat. For three year olds and up. To be ridden by amateur riders. Weight; 165 lbs. Entry fee: $100 Trophy to the owner of the winning horse. Trophy to the winning amateur rider. About one mile and one half on the turf.

Third Race

Alice Keech Perpetual Plate

Maiden hurdle. For three year olds and up that have never won over hurdles. Weights: three year olds, 150 lbs. Trophy to the owner of the winning horse. Entry fee: $150. About two miles over national fences.

Fourth Race — Preaknesss Open Timber

Potomac Plate Perpetual Trophy

Open Timber. For five year olds and up. Weights: five year olds, 160lbs: older, 165lbs. Trophy to the owner of the winning horse. Entry fee: $150. About three miles and one quarter over timber.

Fifth Race — Travilah Perpectual Cup Junior Rider

Presented by The Kiplinger Family Entry fee: $100. About one mile on turf.

Sixth Race — Preakness Open Hurdle Apprentice Jockey

The General. H. H. Semmes Perpetual Trophy

Open Hurdle. For four year olds and up. Weights: four year olds, 150 lbs, older horses, 155 lbs; Nw of a hurdle stake allowed 5 pounds. To be ridden by amateur apprentice riders. NSA Rider allowances apply. Entry fee: $150. About 2 1/8 miles over national fences.

Seventh Race — Preakness Novice Timber

Seneca Valley Perpetual Cup

Novice Timber. For five year olds and up that have not won a timber race as of the first of the current year. Weight; 165 lbs. For each win since the first of the current year add 5 lbs. Trophy to the owner of the winning horse. Entry fee: $150 About three miles over timber.

Eighth Race — CPL Kirk J. Bosselman Memorial Race

Perpetual Trophy

Presented by Rainer and Beverley Bosselmann Small Pony Flat Race. Pony races open to juniors who have not reached their 16th birthday. Trophy to small, medium and large pony winners. Riders in this division who are not 16 are not eligible for any other races of the day. Entries must be acceptable to the committee. Entry fee: $50. About four furlongs on the turf.
