Charles E. Payne Perpetual Trophy About 1-3/4 miles on the flat. Minimum weight: 3-year-olds 150 lbs.; older horses 155 lbs. To be ridden in racing colors. Entry Fee $25. Trophy to winning horse. $1,000 Purse.
Second Race — Governor’s Cup Restricted Young Adult Flat Race
Travilah Cup presented by the Kiplinger Family About one mile, open to amateur riders 15-18 years old, riding horses 4 years old and up on the flat. Rider’s age given at entry. Any rider younger than 15 must seek approval from the committee before entering. Catch weights.
Third Race — Maiden Hurdle
Alice Keech Perpetual Plate About 2 miles over National fences. Minimum weight: 3-year-olds 150 lbs.; older horses 155 lbs. To be ridden in racing colors. Entry fee $25. Trophy to winning horse. $1,000 purse.
Forth Race — Preakness Open Timber
Potomac Plate Perpetual Trophy About 3-1/4 miles over timber. Minimum weight: 5-year-olds 160 lbs.; older horses 165 lbs. To be ridden in racing colors. Entry fee $100. $7,500 Purse.
Fifth Race — Preakness Ladies’ Open Flat
Labadie Mill Perpetual Trophy About 1-1/2 miles on the flat. Minimum weight: 3-year-olds 145 lbs.; older horses 150 lbs. To be ridden in racing colors. Entry fee $25. Trophy to winning horse. $1,000 Purse.
Sixth Race — Preakness Open Hurdle
General H.H. Semmes Perpetual Trophy About 2-1/8 miles over National fences. Minimum weight: 4-year-olds 150 lbs.; older horses 155 lbs. To be ridden in racing colors. Winners preferred. Entry fee $100. Trophy to wining horse. $7,500 Purse.
Seventh Race – Preakness Novice Timber
Seneca Valley Perpetual Cup About 3 miles over timber. Five-year-olds and up; minimum weight 165 lbs. Open to all non-winners over timber as of the first of the current year. For each win since the first of the current year, add 5 lbs. To be ridden in racing colors. Entry fee $50. Trophy to winning horse. $2,500 Purse. NAPPA points may be awarded to NAPPA qualified riders.

Pony races open to juniors who have not reached their 16th birthday. Mounts to be a minimum of 5 years old. Catch weights. Trophy to small, medium and large pony winners. Riders in this division who are 16 are not eligible for any other races of the day, except the Young Adult Flat race. Entries must be acceptable to the committee. No entry fee.
